Recession Art+Other Strategies was a collaborative project that involving four Brisbane based artist run initiatives: Accidentally Annie St Space, boxcopy, inbetweenspaces and No Frills*. Each ARI developed a unique approach for the creation and exhibition of artworks.

The inbetweenspaces project afterourworkisneverover developed as a collaborative “tag team” work that was continuously built for three consecutive days. Over 72 hours (from the 2-4 July) the work spawned as an accumulative growth with each artist making individual and repeated contributions its overall audio, visual and object material form.

This year, inbetweenspaces will also organize a second, independent exhibition to accompany Fresher Cunts. The exhibition Recession Art+Other Strategies will be co-curated with three of Brisbane’s most exciting artist-run initiatives, Accidentally Annie St Space, Boxcopy and No Frills*. This jointly curated project will playfully explore the participatory trends and collaborative strategies of contemporary art.
